TIBETAN DOORS :- A Walk-Through

Not just doors, They are stories. Yes, the Tibetan doors are no less than an astounding piece of art. Brass ornamentation, exquisite colors, holy symbols and decorative paintings are Tibetan traits of door decorations. The patterns on doors often have symbolic meaning which may be religious or secular. They convey Buddhist ideas of spiritualism by using visual language of motifs and paintings. Sometimes they narrates the myths and beliefs of Tibetans through paintings of mythological characters like dragons on the entrance door. TRAPEZOIDAL WINDOWS – FROM TIBET

TIBET- The place full of peace and spiritualism. It's the land remind us of colorful prayer flags fluttering over mountains producing a colorful and spiritual aura that swirls with the winds celebrating sacred Buddhism. In terms of architecture, Tibet has its own unique style which evolved over a time span of 4500 years under Chinese, Indian and Buddhist influences. They are designed beautifully in accordance with the temperature and climate, promoting local culture and folk heritage and consequently seeking great tourist attention. HERITAGE DOORS OF RAJASTHAN- HAVELI

The term haveli is derived from Arabic hawali, meaning “partition” or “private space”, known during Mughal Empire. A Haveli, in the Indian sub-continent is thus a traditional residence or townhouse with historical importance. These traditional dwellings share a cultural past and are architecturally sound. HERITAGE DOORS OF RAJASTHAN – FORTS

Traditional Carpentry Work we found in Forts and Havelis of Rajasthan are worth remembering and the very first expression of royal carpentry is seen in the HERITAGE DOORS of Rajasthan. Its a centuries old craft performed by the local craftsmen especially the Suthar community of Rajasthan. This community comes from Barmer district of Rajasthan, who along with other migrant artisans handle the mass production of antique wooden doors in workshops in Jodhpur and other regions of Rajasthan. As these doors are unique and showcase immense hand-skills they are highly prized in international market. These exquisite doors are actually the doorways to our legacy which must be kept alive in any of the possible ways.....

MARVELLOUS MASHRABIYAS

Tarima, shanashil, shanshūl (شنشول) or rūshān (روشان), known with many names....MASHRABIYA is typically a type of beautiful Bay window masking the upper floors of a traditional Arabic building or an Arabic house. It is an integral part of Arab lifestyle since ages and an element of sustainable architecture ornamented with beautiful lattice work and occasionally with stained glass. This Islamic architectural feature shares a vast history dating back to 12th century and Middle ages. Historical records shows their presence in most part of the Middle Eastern cities, Baghdad, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Malta and other Saudi region. It was designed to ensure the psychological, physical, social, environmental and religious requirements of the time and place in which they appear. Given the elegance, artistry, practicality and multifaceted approach of Mashrabiya, they inspire various modern structures and architectural elements.
